Healthway Disinfecting Filtration System (DFS) Technology vs. HEPA

• HealthWay’s patented Disinfecting Filtration System (DFS) technology is the most

effective and efficient technology in air filtration capturing 99.99% of bacteria,

mold, fungi, virus and other micro-organisms

• 99.99 % efficient in capturing particles down to a size of 0.007 microns - which is

smaller than the smallest known virus size. HEPA filters are only rated to capture particles 0.3 microns and viruses will pass through a HEPA rated filter.

• DFS technology combines high energy with media filtration to provide particle

capture down to nanometer size particles through agglomeration and creation of

high energy field in the entire filtration medium. HEPA is based on the pore size of

a paper filter. HEPA filters load up faster and tend to clog, reducing air flow

The Healthway Disinfection Filtration System (DFS) technology is far more effective at killing germs than Ultraviolet (UV) air units have variable germicidal doses and contact times. Also, UV lamps degrade over time becoming less effective at killing germs.

In addition, there is a seven stage Pre-filter that reduces chemicals,odors, particulates and is anti-microbial.

The Healthway unit is listed as a Class 2 Medical Device by the FDA. There are almost no HEPA filters that have this listing which allows the Healthway to be used in hospitals.
